1789 - George Washington unanimously elected the first President of the United States by the U.S. Electoral College.

1792 - George Washington unanimously elected to second term as President of the United States by the U.S. Electoral College.

1801 - John Marshall sworn in as Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court.

1861 - War of Northern Aggression: In Montgomery, Alabama, delegates from 6 break-away U.S. States meet and form the Confederate States of America.

1941 - USO created to entertain American troops.

1969 - Yassar Arafat takes over as Chairman of the P.L.O.

2004 - Facebook is founded by Mark Zucerberg.

1959 - The greatest linebacker of all-time, Lawrence Taylor. I don't care that he was a major cokehead. He was awesome. On Super Techmobowl, if you lined him up right over the center, you could jump over the center and sack the quarterback everytime. He was the fastest computer defensive player ever. In real life, he was nasty. Ask Joe Theismann's leg.
