This Day in History, April 18

1775 - 2 Lanterns hung in the Old North Church in Boston to signal the British were coming by Sea. Paul Revere made is famous ride this very night.

1923 - Yankee Stadium - "The House that Ruth Built" opens.

1942- WWII - The Doolittle Raid on Tokyo occurs.

1987- Mike Schmidt joins the 500 HR Club

2007- U.S. Supreme Court upholds the Partial Birth Abortion Act on a 5-4 decision. Justices Kennedy, Alito, Roberts, Scalia and Thomas voted in the affirmative.
