1616 - William Shakespeare dies at age 52. How ironic. Same day

1974 - Pan Am World Airlways Boeing 707 crashes in Bali, Indonesia, killing 107

1982 - The Conch Republic in Key West Established

1988 - Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, after spending a record 741 consective weeks (over 14 years) on the Billboard 200, left the charts for the first time ever. Dark Side of the Moon is the 20th biggest selling album in history, while The Wall is the 4th biggest selling album in music history in the U.S.

1990 - Namibia becomes 160th member of the United Nations.
